Joining B|W|R in 1996, Ron Hofmann oversees a spectrum of corporate and entertainment clients, including brand integration, actors, authors, personalities, events, film festivals, networks, television shows, theater, consumer products and technology companies.
Adept in live theater, he has led publicity on such projects as Cavalia, De La Guarda, Rock of Ages, Forbidden Broadway and the opening of Magicopolis in Santa Monica. He currently serves as chairman of the board for the renowned theater troupe The Groundlings. In his previous seven-year post as vice president of Rick Miramontez Company, Hofmann oversaw numerous PR campaigns for such National and Los Angeles theatrical shows such as the world premiere of Sunset Boulevard (starring Glenn Close), Beauty and the Beast, Steve Martin’s Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Man of La Mancha (starring Raul Julia and Sheena Easton), the national tour of Will Rogers Follies, and Shakespeare for My Father (starring Lynn Redgrave) among many others.
His work in consumer products and brand integration includes oversight of the Lincoln car, the launch of Dr. Andrew Weil’s True Food Kitchen in Santa Monica, Netflix, the Palm Pre, absinthe Le Tourment Vert, Netflix, HollywoodPoker.com, fashion clients ShoeDazzle.com, Michael Stars, Western Chief Kids and Chooka boots, and jewelry company Stella and Dot. On the technology side, Hofmann currently represents myFDB.com (My Fashion Database), and launched social networking sites for Bode Miller (SkiSpace.com) and Jessica Biel (MTDN.com).
He has overseen unit publicity on filmed entertainment for Sony Pictures “Soul Surfer” (2010-2011), for TV shows such as the launch of “Malcolm in the Middle,” “Lizzie McGuire,” “The Steve Harvey Show” and The Travel Channel’s “Made in America.” While handling such production/distribution companies as The Weinstein Company, Stone Village Pictures (“Love in the Time of Cholera”), itsy bitsy Entertainment (“Teletubbies”) and Scout (“Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”), he has also worked with producer Barbara Hall (“Joan of Arcadia”), cable startups Sí TV and TVG, and publishing companies HarperCollins (Lemony Snicket) and DK Publishing (Star Wars, Toy Story, Barbie).
He has handled entertainment events such as Live Earth, the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Maui Film Festival, Heartland Film Festival, Bangkok International Film Festival, American Medical Association Film Festival, the installation of The Bob Hope Museum of American Entertainment at the Library of Congress, HBO Comedy Festival (Las Vegas), and CineVegas. He has overseen publicity for tradeshows including the Nightclub and Bar Convention in Las Vegas, Art Los Angeles Contemporary, photoLA, photoMiami, artLA, and ShowBiz Expo.
Hofmann’s talent clients currently include Jason Alexander, James Woods, and Dana Carvey, Jon Taffer (star of Spike TV’s “Bar Rescue”) and Top Chef’s Stefan Richter (including his two restaurants Stefan’s at LA Farm and Stefan’s on Montana).
