Sandy Helberg is an original Groundling. Sandy has been in numerous movies: THIS IS SPINAL TAP, MORTAL KOMBAT, THE HOLLYWOOD KNIGHTS, UP THE CREEK, A STAR IS BORN, THE JAZZ SINGER and MODERN PROBLEMS; and three films with Mel Brooks: HIGH ANXIETY, HISTORY OF THE WORLD: PART I, and SPACEBALLS.. On television, he has guested on MAS*H, NEWHART, THE JEFFERSONS, MARRIED WITH CHILDREN, NIGHT COURT, and many, many more. Sandy has also written assorted sitcoms with his partner and lovely wife, Harriet Helberg; THE GOLDEN GIRLS, PERFECT STRANGERS, DEAR JOHN, and more.
