Our Acting Track is designed to help actors trust their instincts, connect authentically, and let go of self-judgment to uncover real and often unexpected moments in performance. By focusing on the basics of character, motivation, and connection, students develop the skills to use their voice, body, and curiosity to create dynamic, believable characters. We foster a safe environment where actors can take risks, fail boldly, and (re)discover the joy of performing.
WHY Groundlings?
Improvisation teaches actors to trust their instincts, listen, and stay in the moment without judgement. These are essential skills for any good actor. These acting-focused principles are rooted in the Groundlings ethos, and emphasize acting fundamentals like emotional honesty, motivation, and connection.
