Greg Hosharian

Composer, conductor, and keyboardist Maestro Greg Hosharian began playing piano at the age of four under the guidance of his father, Edward Hosharian, a renowned composer and conductor of the Los Angeles-based Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. Greg earned his Master’s Degree in Music Composition in 2004 and has since cultivated a rich musical repertoire spanning classical, jazz, Armenian ethnic music, and progressive rock.

Recently, Greg presented sold-out performances of Portraits of the Homeland at the Alex Theatre, featuring a 40-piece orchestra in collaboration with the Voice of Hope Collective Gospel Choir. As a keyboardist, Greg has toured Europe and North America with the progressive rock band Redemption, opening for industry icons Dream Theater. He also leads his own rock group, Armenian Space Station.

In 2010, Greg founded The Armenian Pops Orchestra, where he serves as conductor and musical director. The Orchestra has performed extensively in the Los Angeles area, bringing Armenian and classical music to diverse audiences.

Currently, Greg is actively composing soundtracks for film, television, animation, and games, as well as performing, orchestrating, conducting, teaching, and recording.
