McAdoo Greer credits the Groundlings with teaching her she can write her own lines and act at
the same time. A published playwright, her plays include The First Human Impalement Act in
These Here Parts (Dramatic Publishing Company), Titty Bars (Ingram New Works Festival,
Nashville Repertory Theatre), and How Come That Blood (National Playwright’s Retreat, Creede
Colorado). McAdoo has been a featured performer at the Southern Literary Festival, The
Tennessee Williams Festival in New Orleans, and the Southeastern Theatre Conference. The
musical version of her play Ti**y Bars was recently staged at the Ensemble Theatre of
Chattanooga’s 2023 Brave New Works Festival. In this world of hyphenates, McAdoo considers
herself a soybean farmer-playwright.
