Teru (she/her) is a Black and Japanese actor and writer from Sacramento, California. She has a PhD in Anthropology from UCLA, where she also earned her BA in Linguistics. She’s lived in Germany, India, and Bangladesh, and loves to draw from these experiences in her writing. Teru’s also performed on house sketch, clown, and improv teams around Los Angeles, and is thrilled and honored to be part of Sunday Company.
Teru sends her deep gratitude to her family who have been steady cheerleaders. When she’s not performing you can find her in a garden, at a spa, or on a couch with a sci-fi novel. Bring up N.K. Jemisin if you’d like to see her smile.
