The Wombats are the Savannah Bananas or Harlem Globetrotters of women’s soccer. This night will be a staged reading of the live show the Wombats will soon perform in soccer arenas, with special LIVE performance elements. In other words, it’s a presentation of a fun, family-friendly show definitely probably not involving breaking anything in the theatre with soccer balls.
Professional soccer players from over a dozen countries including Olympic medalists and World Cup veterans, dancers, acrobats, and funny people have all come together to create a fast-paced 7 vs 7 soccer match and show in one. The incredibly good Willstorm United Wombats face the also very good but very poorly behaved Ramflitz FC Ransackers in the most epic match in the history of women’s soccer.
